As a part of Celebration 75 years of Independence “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”, the Department of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA) in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS) has organized “Cleanliness Drive” at Varkhede Village (Dist. Dhule). The main purpose of this program was to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and its benefits. Hence, through Cleanliness Drive, an attempt has been made to make people aware of the importance and methods of handling waste responsibly and try to take a step towards a cleaner environment.
There was a total of 61 students, and 12 faculties have participated in the event willingly. The program was started with a discussion of the importance of a clean environment. Then students were divided into 4 groups and started to clean the streets and explained the importance of cleaning to the village people. Cleanliness Drives through which we make people aware of the importance and methods of handling waste responsibly and try to take a step towards a cleaner environment. The event was concluded with a visit to the school and feedback/experience of participants.
It was a unique experience for everyone and everyone was curious to be a part of this great drive that could have transformed the face of our country forever.
